Piercing Requirements for Minors
To get a Piercing as a minor at Certified Tattoo Studios, you must meet the following requirements:
Ear Lobes (Babies & Kids under 10) Available at West Colfax by Krysten only. Must provide Birth certificate and current Insurance Card
West / East Colfax only
Ear Lobes (10+)
Cartilage (13+) Helix, Tragus, Conch, etc.
Nostril (13+)
Eyebrow (14+)
Navel / Septum (14+) Anatomy‑dependent
Lip (16+)
Dermal (16+)
Tongue / Oral (18+)
Private Piercings 18+ only
Parental Presence:
Your parent or legal guardian must be present with you during the appointment.
Valid Identification:
For All Minors: Bring a valid state-issued photo ID or a current year school ID.
For Parents: Your parent or guardian must bring a valid state-issued photo ID.
Birth Certificate:
Bring original Birth Certificate. Photocopies are not accepted.
Your parent’s name on their ID must also match the Birth Certificate to verify they are your parent. NO EXCEPTIONS!
