We’ve all been exactly where you are, and that’s what inspired our founder to create Painless Booking. For many people, a first tattoo or piercing can feel exciting, but also nerve-racking and a little overwhelming.

You probably have questions (and you should). From how certain colors will look on your skin tone, to pricing, final design details, and what the experience will feel like, we’ll walk you through it all.

At Certified Tattoo Studios, we offer free consultations for tattoos and piercings in Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado, so you can get clear answers and feel confident before you book.

2. Free Tattoo or Piercing Consultation

Your first tattoo or piercing (and every one after) should feel relaxed and pressure-free. Our goal is to help you feel comfortable with the process before we ever dive into design details or piercing choices.

You can schedule online, or stop by anytime to talk with us about your tattoo or piercing ideas.

From there, we’ll bring your vision to life; dialing in placement, subject matter, size, and detail, and most importantly, how you want your tattoo or piercing to feel every time you see it.

Clarity matters. The better we understand your vision, the better we can turn it into beautiful art.

3. Choosing a Tattoo Design or Body Piercing

Now that you’ve decided you want a tattoo or body piercing (and you understand the process), how do you choose the right design or direction for you?

You don’t need to draw it yourself or hunt through magazines to find “the one.”

The easiest path is to let our Client Success Team connect you with the best Certified Tattoo Artist (or piercer) for your exact idea.

It also helps to do a little research so you can get a feel for the styles you’re drawn to and what matches your vision.

From there, we’ll help you refine the concept, finalize the details, and match you with the perfect artist, or create the right piercing plan for you.

4. CUSTOM DESIGNS

At Certified Tattoo Studios, we specialize in custom tattoo designs created specifically for you. No templates, no repeats, just original artwork made to fit your vision.

To preserve the integrity of our creative process, we reveal custom designs at your tattoo session. You’ll have time to review the final drawing and request one on-site revision before tattooing begins.

5. GETTING YOUR TATTOO

On the day of your appointment, arrive at the studio ready to bring your vision to life.

Whether you’re here for a tattoo session or a body piercing, our expert team will guide you through a professional experience from start to finish.

We also welcome walk-ins seven days a weekfor smaller tattoos and all piercings, though booking ahead with our Client Success Team is always recommended.

6. TATTOO AFTERCARE

Wash your tattoo with a fragrance-free antibacterial soap as often as needed, at least three times per day. We recommend Dial Gold.

The night of your tattoo and the following morning, wash the area with warm water to help remove lymph and reduce heavy scabbing. If you’ve been sweating, exercising, or your tattoo has been rubbing against clothing, wash it again.

For the first 3 days, apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor at least 3 times per day.

Do not cover your tattoo with thick clothing or anything that traps it, it needs to breathe to heal.

After day 3, switch to a thin layer of fragrance-free lotion until fully healed.

Important:

Do not pick at scabs, this can pull ink/color out. Let scabs fall off naturally.
Do not soak your tattoo in tubs, pools, lakes, or oceans while it heals.
Avoid direct sun exposure during the healing process.

We also offer aftercare kits in-studio for $12 with everything you need to care for your tattoo while it heals.
